Ice Nine
Ice Nine is a 4-piece instrumental group co-led by Tim Boyce and Gary Dates. The music is an all-original blend of jazz, R&B, rock and funk. The result is a unique hybrid that defies easy labeling. Tim and Gary are original members of Line Drive, a band that made it’s mark in the 80’s playing instrumental “fusion”. A lot has transpired since then, and this new project is both brand new in terms of music and approach, but with the same spirit of creative music-making that brought the band together originally.
